THIS FALL
OCTOBER 21-27, 2026

an Ifá priest, a Reiki Master, a Japanese herbalist, a hidden magic village –
IN THE MOUNTAINS
OF JAPAN.

This OCTOBER, enter a spiritual training ground between worlds, to discover your hidden gift.

deep in the mountains of Niigata, Japan, 2 HOURS OUTSIDE OF TOKYO, YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO TRAIN WITH RESOURCED EXPERTS IN a never before seen camp - with the choice of IMMERSING IN divination, herbology or reiki/energy work.

For seven days, the mountains become your classroom, the plants your teachers, the daily hot springs your restoration, energy your language, and play your practice.

❋ CHOOSE ONE OF THREE PATHS

Each participant has the option to choose one of three streams to journey deeper into: Divination, Energy Work / Reiki, or Local Herbology. Each stream offers dedicated time for study and practice, while the wider camp brings us back together through ritual, nature, play, meals, and shared experience. Tracks will be chosen prior to the start of the camp through the registration form. Please reach out if you have any questions – contact info below.

❋ AN OPEN LEVEL CAMP

This camp is for adults on a healing journey seeking their destined path. It’s for spiritual students, with or without previous certifications, who are ready to learn, explore, and grow. Come deepen your connection to yourself, the Earth, and the universe as you uncover your unique path.

Max. 9 participants.

❋ ETHICAL AND RESOURCED MASTERS

The camp was divined and conceived by Ifá priest and Priest of Play Dashaun Justice @theplaypriest, and will be held alongside Daoud Abeid @daoudsun, a Reiki Master with 30 years of practice, and Akira-san @matsunoyama.cakra , a Japanese herbal master deeply rooted in the land and plant traditions of Niigata.

MEET YOUR TEACHERS

Dashaun Justice - Awokunle, Ifákayọde, Ṣàngódoyin

Diviner, Initiated Priest of Ifá, Ọrìṣà Priest, and The Priest of Play

Dashaun Simmons, the Priest of Play, sees life as one big playground—every experience a new game to explore. As the co-founder of Men At Work Healing and the Afro Play Collective, he is devoted to reconnecting the world with its innate ability to play. Whether as an initiated priest, a level 2 Reiki practitioner, or a diviner, he approaches all aspects of healing with the same joyful lens. Dashaun sings, dances, channels spirits, and plays old-school video games—all as acts of play, all as acts of spirit. His purpose? To embody play as a life and spiritual practice, helping others heal, grow, and fully embrace the game of life. After all, it’s the only game in town.

Daoud Abeid

Energy Healer & Spiritual Counselor

Daoud Abeid is a Reiki Master and Spiritual Healing Practitioner whose work is rooted in a lifelong relationship with spiritual practice, martial arts, and ancestral wisdom. Introduced to Reiki in 1991 and formally attuned in 2005, he now holds the level of Reiki IV Master/Teacher. His work integrates Reiki with teachings received from Indigenous South and North American medicine people, as well as principles shaped by his training in Kuntaw, a Filipino martial art in which he holds a black belt. Daoud believes many forms of suffering arise from spiritual disconnection—from self, lineage, and the unseen—and his mission is to help others release the beliefs, energies, and patterns that create disharmony in the body and life.

akira shimamura

local herbalist master

Akira Shimamura is a herbalist, grower, and founder of Matsunoyama Cakra, whose life and practice are deeply rooted in the mountains of Niigata. After moving to Niigata at 19, his path took him through mountain work, forestry, and travels across Thailand, India, and Nepal before a transformative encounter with holy basil (Tulsi) led him to Matsunoyama.
Today, Akira grows, harvests, dries, processes, and blends medicinal plants directly from the land, bringing an intimate knowledge of Matsunoyama’s ecology into his practice. His work is grounded in living with the rhythms of nature — its abundance, its severity, and the understanding that we are sustained by the land around us.

Matsunoyama, Niigata
